🚀 Download & Installation

Step 1: Download the Launcher

1. Go to the link: https://xernel.cc/launcher/download

2. Enter your license key into the corresponding field on the page

3. Wait for license verification

4. Automatic download should start within a few seconds

5. If the download does not start automatically, click the "Manual Download" button

Step 2: Save the Launcher

• The downloaded file is saved to the Downloads folder by default

• It is recommended to move the launcher to a separate folder, for example C:\XERNEL\

• If you want to hide traces of the product, move the launcher to a flash drive with a RAID/FAT32 file system

🛠 System Setup

Step 1: Disable Antiviruses

Disabling Windows Defender

1. Open Windows Settings (Win + I)

2. Go to Update & Security - Windows Security

3. Open Virus & threat protection

4. Under Virus & threat protection settings, click Manage settings

5. Turn off Real-time protection

Disabling other antiviruses

• Disable Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, Norton, and other installed antiviruses

• Make sure they are completely disabled, not just hidden in the system tray

Step 2: Enable Overlay

Ensure you have one of the game overlays installed:

For NVIDIA Graphics Cards:

• NVIDIA GeForce Experience must be installed

• Open NVIDIA GeForce Experience

• Verify that In-Game Overlay is enabled in settings

For AMD Graphics Cards:

• AMD Radeon Software must be installed

• Open AMD Radeon Settings

• Ensure Overlay is enabled

Step 3: System Restart

After completing all steps, restart your PC:

• Press Win + R, type shutdown /r /t 0 and press Enter

• Or use the standard power menu

🎮 Launching the Product

📌 Important: Do NOT launch the cheat while inside the game.

1. License Activation in Launcher

   • Run the downloaded launcher as Administrator

   • Enter your license key in the License Activation window

   • Click Activate and wait for processing

   • After successful activation, you will enter the Main Menu of the launcher

2. Game Selection and Launch

   • Select SCUM from the main menu

   • Click the Launch button

   • A window with startup logs will appear — this is normal

   • Wait for the authorization message

3. Driver Loading

   • After authorization, a pop-up window will ask: "Load driver?"

   • First run: click YES

   • Subsequent runs (until next restart): click NO

   • ⚠️ Clicking YES every time will cause stability issues

   • If you receive a driver preload failed error — check CLICK

4. Final Step

   • Wait for the game to fully load into the main menu, then go to Video settings and choose — Borderless Window / Windowed Fullscreen

   • Press the DELETE key

❓ FAQ

Question: What if I don't see the "Manual Download" button?

• Answer: This may mean that the automatic download has already started. Check your Downloads folder. If nothing is downloading, try to:

  • Clear browser cache

  • Disable ad blocker

  • Use a different browser

Question: My antivirus is blocking the launcher, what should I do?

• Answer: This is normal. You should:

  1. Add the launcher to antivirus exclusions

  2. Or completely disable your antivirus (as described in the instructions)

  3. XERNEL products are incompatible with active protection

Question: Do I need to disable Defender if I have another antivirus?

• Answer: Yes, disable both. Windows Defender and third-party antiviruses can conflict with the product, even if installed together.

Question: Why is Overlay required?

• Answer: Overlay is required for certain components of the product to function properly. Make sure it is active before launching.

Question: Do I need to perform all steps every time?

• Answer: No. After initial system setup, you only need to:

  1. Run the launcher

  2. Click YES to load driver (only the first time after a system restart)

  3. Click OK in the final window

🔧 Troubleshooting

Issue: Launcher does not download

Solutions:

• Check your internet connection

• Disable VPN

• Clear browser cache ( Ctrl + Shift + Delete )

• Try downloading from another browser

• Verify if your license key is active

Issue: "Invalid license key"

Solutions:

• Ensure you copied the key completely without extra spaces

• Check whether your key is active (not expired)

• Restart your PC and try again

• Contact support if the key was purchased a long time ago

Issue: Antivirus still blocking

Solutions:

• Make sure you have disabled all antiviruses, including Defender

• Add launcher folder to exclusions

• Restart your PC after disabling

• Verify that real-time protection is indeed disabled

Issue: Driver fails to load / Error upon loading

Solutions:

1. Disable antiviruses: Ensure standard Windows Defender, as well as any third-party antiviruses (Kaspersky, Dr.Web, etc.) are completely turned off.

2. Uninstall anti-cheats: If anti-cheats such as FACEIT AC or Riot Vanguard are installed on your PC, they must be completely uninstalled.

3. Open Registry Editor: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config, locate VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable, and set its value to 0.

4. Be sure to restart your computer after completing these steps and try again.

Issue: "Clicked YES multiple times, now it doesn't work"

Solutions:

• This is normal, simply restart your PC

• After restarting, click YES only once

• If the issue persists:

  • Boot into Safe Mode and run "System Restore" to a point before the issue occurred

  • Alternative option — reinstall the launcher.

Issue: Black screen in game

Solutions:

• Ensure Overlay is enabled

• Update your graphics driver to the latest version

• Disable all screen recording software ( OBS, Bandicam, etc. )

• Check that your monitor is connected properly

Issue: Low FPS or lagging

Solutions:

• Close all unnecessary applications

• Check Task Manager to ensure no other heavy processes are running

• Update your GPU driver

• Check PC temperatures (possible overheating)

• Ensure monitor and graphics card match refresh rate/sync settings

Issue: Launcher freezes on authorization logs

Solutions:

1. This might be an internet connection issue, check your connectivity

2. Restart your PC

3. Try using a different network connection (mobile hotspot)

4. Disable VPN if active
