The Byster cheat for DayZ is a private build for the Steam client. Its menu carries 71 settings across five groups: Aimbot, Visuals, Loot, Misc and Other.

The Aimbot tab splits into two panels labelled "Legit" and "Rage" on screen — the card's own feature list calls the second mode "Silent AIM", but the panel itself is titled "Rage" and its Enable row carries a warning-triangle icon. Legit is the smoother mode, useful at range because a hard snap is easy to spot from a distance; Rage snaps harder and gets used up close, when landing the shot matters more than looking natural. Legit also has a "Show TargetLine" toggle that draws a line to the target — it has no entry anywhere in the published feature list, so treat it as a menu detail rather than a counted feature. Hitbox selection (Head, Neck, Chest, Pelvis, Humanizer) and separate FOV/distance sliders are shared by both panels, which means the same build can carry one profile for close fights and another for long sightlines.

Visuals opens five panels — Player, Zombie, Boats, Car, Animal — each with its own draw-distance slider. Players and the infected are worth keeping visible at full range, while vehicles and boats are better kept closer: push a car's distance to the whole map and the screen fills with icons instead of useful information. The Car panel has an "Inventory" toggle, but it renders greyed out on the screenshot, so vehicle-inventory viewing cannot be claimed as working. Zombie health is shown on its own row, which matters when deciding whether to fight through a loot spot or route around it.

The Misc tab handles the map and the overall view: the Chernarus online map shows the player's position, movement direction and vehicle location, Time Changer skips straight past waiting for dawn, and Disable Grass strips the tall grass — handy on open fields where undergrowth hides a prone player. Battle Mode keeps a combat-mode status on hand, and saved config profiles reload in one click, so a cheat update does not mean rebuilding the menu from scratch.

Loot menu and system requirements

The Loot tab's sidebar splits loot into eight categories — General, Weapons, Explosives & Traps, Clothing, Building, Vehicle, Supplies and Mods — and Mods, weapon attachments, is not part of the 20 published Loot items at all. Inside General sits "Barrel Inventory" on the X key, a container-contents preview without opening it, and "Quality circle", a colour-coded condition indicator; these are the on-screen names for the published "Container inventory preview" and "Item quality display". Each loot category keeps its own draw-distance slider, because a useful range for weapons on the ground is not the useful range for building supplies.

The DayZ cheat only launches with the Steam client and runs in windowed mode — other display modes are not worth trying. HWID masking typically ships inside the Byster key itself, so a separate spoofer purchase is not needed. No USB flash drive is required to launch. On a screen recording or stream, the menu overlay stays visible — there is no stream-proof mode in the requirements. Windows 10 and 11 are supported with no stated CPU, GPU or disk requirement, so any configuration works.
