Step 1: Download the Launcher
On the page, enter your license key in the corresponding field
Wait for license processing
Automatic download should start within a few seconds
If download doesn't start automatically, click the "Manual Download" button
Step 2: Save the Launcher
Downloaded file is saved to the Downloads folder by default
It's recommended to move the launcher to a separate folder, e.g.
C:\XERNEL\If you want to hide product traces, move the launcher to a USB drive with RAID/FAT32 file system
⚙️ System Setup
Step 1: Disable Antivirus
Disabling Windows Defender
Option 1 (Simple):
Open Windows Settings (Win + I)
Go to Update & Security → Windows Security
Open Virus & threat protection
Under Virus & threat protection settings, click Manage settings
Turn off the Real-time protection toggle
Disabling Other Antivirus
Disable Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, Norton and other installed antivirus software
Make sure they are fully disabled, not just hidden in the system tray
Simply minimizing antivirus to the tray is not enough — it will continue blocking product drivers.
Step 2: Disable System Protections
Press Win (opens "Start Menu")
Type cmd and click Run as administrator
Copy and paste the following command in full:
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" /v Enabled /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f & reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config" /v VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f & reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard" /v EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /fPress Enter and wait for the process to complete
Step 3: Enable Overlay
Make sure you have one of the game overlays installed:
For NVIDIA GPUs:
NVIDIA GeForce Experience must be installed
Open NVIDIA GeForce Experience
Check that Game Overlay is enabled in settings
For AMD GPUs:
AMD Radeon Software must be installed
Open AMD Radeon Settings
Make sure Overlay is enabled
For Intel GPUs or if using Discord:
Open Discord
Go to User Settings → Activity
Find the Game Overlay section
Enable the Enable in-game overlay toggle
Make sure Enable legacy overlay is DISABLED
Step 4: Reboot System
After completing all steps, be sure to reboot:
Press Win + R, type
shutdown /r /t 0and press EnterOr use the standard shutdown menu
🚀 Launching the Product
Step 1: Activate License in Launcher
Run the downloaded launcher as Administrator
In the License Activation window, enter your license key
Click Activate and wait for processing
After successful activation, you'll enter the Launcher Main Menu
Step 2: Select and Launch Game
In the main menu, select War Thunder
Click the Launch button
A window with launch logs will appear — this is normal
Wait for the sound signal and press DEL
P.S.: The cheat cannot be launched while in-game.
Step 3: Finalization
Enter the game and enjoy
The product is ready for use
❓ FAQ
Question: What if I don't see the "Manual Download" button?
This may mean automatic download has already started. Check your "Downloads" folder. If nothing is downloading, try:
Clear browser cache
Disable ad blocker
Try a different browser
Question: My antivirus blocks the launcher, what do I do?
This is normal. You should:
Add the launcher to antivirus exclusions
Or fully disable antivirus (as described in instructions)
XERNEL products are incompatible with enabled protection
Question: Do I need to disable Defender if I have another antivirus?
Yes, disable both. Windows Defender and other antivirus software can conflict with the product, even if installed together.
Question: What is "legacy overlay" in Discord?
This is the old version of the overlay. Make sure it's DISABLED. Only the modern Game Overlay is needed.
Question: Why is Overlay needed?
Overlay is required for proper functioning of some product components. Make sure it's active before launch.
Question: Do I need to do all steps every time?
No. After initial system setup, you only need to:
Launch the launcher
Click YES for driver load (only first time after reboot)
Click OK in the final window
🔧 Troubleshooting
Problem: Launcher won't download
Check internet connection
Disable VPN
Clear browser cache (Ctrl + Shift + Delete)
Try downloading from a different browser
Check if your license key is active
Problem: "Invalid license key"
Make sure you copied the key completely without spaces
Check if your key is active (not expired)
Reboot and try again
Contact support if the key was purchased long ago
Problem: Antivirus still blocks
Make sure you disabled ALL antivirus, including Defender
Add launcher folder to exclusions
Reboot after disabling
Check that real-time protection is actually disabled
Problem: Game won't launch after OK
Make sure War Thunder is installed
Try launching the game manually (via Steam)
Check that you have enough free disk space
Reboot and repeat the process from the beginning
Make sure Overlay is enabled
Problem: Black screen in game
Make sure Overlay is enabled
Update video driver to latest version
Try using a different Overlay (NVIDIA instead of Discord, etc.)
Disable all screen recording programs (OBS, Bandicam, etc.)
Check that monitor is connected properly
Problem: Low FPS or lag
Close all unnecessary programs
Check Task Manager for other heavy processes
Update video driver
Check PC temperature (possible overheating)
Make sure monitor and GPU use the same PWM
Turn off VSync and set frame limit to 60 FPS, also set graphics settings to low-medium
Problem: Error when entering license key in launcher
Copy the key again (no spaces at start/end)
Make sure you're entering it in the correct field
Reboot and try again
If error says "Key not activated", check status in your account
Problem: Launcher stuck on authorization logs
This may be an internet issue, check connection
Reboot
Try using a different network (mobile internet)
Disable VPN if using one
If problem persists
Completely clean launcher files
Reinstall the launcher
