🚀 XERNEL — Installation & Launch Guide (EN)

💾 Download & Installation

1. Download the launcher

   • Follow the link above

   • Enter your license key in the corresponding field

   • Wait for license processing (auto-download will start in a few seconds)

   • If it doesn't start, click the "Manual Download" button

2. Save the launcher

   • By default, the file saves to the Downloads folder

   • It is recommended to move the launcher to a separate folder, e.g., C:\XERNEL\

   • To hide product traces, move the launcher to a USB drive with RAID/FAT32 file system

⚙️ System Setup

Step 1: Disable Antivirus

1. Disable Windows Defender:

   • Press Win + I (Windows Settings)

   • Go to: Update & Security → Windows Security

   • Open Virus & threat protection

   • Under "Virus & threat protection settings", click Manage settings

   • Turn off Real-time protection

2. Disable other antivirus software:

   Completely disable Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, Norton, etc. (do not just hide them in the tray).

Step 2: Disable System Protections

1. Press Win, type cmd, and select Run as administrator

2. Copy and paste the following command completely, then press Enter:

   reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" /v Enabled /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f & reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config" /v VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f & reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard" /v EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

3. Wait for the process to complete.

Step 3: Enable Overlay

Ensure you have one of the following gaming overlays installed and enabled:

• NVIDIA: Open GeForce Experience → ensure In-Game Overlay is enabled in settings.

• AMD: Open Radeon Software → ensure Overlay is enabled.

Step 4: Reboot System

After completing all steps, you must reboot:

• Press Win + R, type shutdown /r /t 0, and press Enter

• Or use the standard Windows shutdown menu

🎮 Product Launch

1. Activate License

   • Run the launcher as Administrator

   • Enter your license key and click Activate

   • Upon success, you will enter the Main Menu

2. Select and Launch Game

   • In the main menu, select Dead by Daylight

   • Click the Launch button

   • A log window will appear — this is normal

3. Finalization

   • Launch the game and wait for the main menu to load

   • Open/close the menu by default using the Delete key

❓ FAQ

What if I don't see the "Manual Download" button?

Auto-download has already started. Check your "Downloads" folder. If nothing downloads: clear browser cache, disable adblockers, or try another browser.

My antivirus blocks the launcher, what do I do?

This is normal. Add the launcher to your antivirus exclusions or disable the antivirus completely. XERNEL products are incompatible with enabled protection.

Do I need to disable Defender if I have another antivirus?

Yes, disable both. They can conflict with the product even when installed together.

Why is Overlay needed?

The overlay is required for certain product components to function correctly. Ensure it is active before launching.

What command re-enables system protection?

Run CMD as Administrator and execute:

Do I need to do all steps every time?

No. After the initial setup, you only need to: run the launcher, click YES to load the driver (only the first time after a reboot), and click OK in the final window.

🔧 Troubleshooting

❌ Launcher won't download

• Check your internet connection and disable VPN

• Clear browser cache (Ctrl + Shift + Delete)

• Try a different browser and verify your key status

❌ "Invalid license key"

• Ensure the key is copied completely, without spaces

• Check the key's expiration date

• Reboot or contact support

❌ Antivirus is still blocking

• Ensure ALL antiviruses, including Defender, are disabled

• Add the launcher folder to exclusions and reboot

❌ Game won't launch after OK

• Ensure Dead by Daylight is installed and you have disk space

• Try launching the game manually via Steam

• Reboot and ensure Overlay is enabled

❌ Black screen in game

• Ensure Overlay is enabled

• Update GPU drivers and disable screen recording software (OBS, Bandicam, etc.)

❌ Low FPS or lag

• Close background apps and check PC temperatures

• Disable VSync and cap your frame rate at 60 FPS

❌ Launcher hangs on auth logs

• Check your internet, disable VPN, or try a mobile hotspot

• Completely delete launcher files and reinstall it
